There're 2 types of motors. . One is direct current motor. . One is alternate current motor. .
.
.
Todays, we mention alternate current motor. . UVW represent the 3 phase of the Alternate current. . I just use W as an example. .

Me: OK.
John: There is a justify capacitor on the W wire. . .What's this capacitor for ??
.
1) If the circuit of the stator is induction - orientation, the voltage is leading the current. (the rotor rotate slowly)
2) If the circuit of the stator is capacitance - orientation, the current is leading the voltage. (the rotor rotate fast)
.
.
.
John: To let the rotor rotate fast, the current of the stator must lead the voltage of the stator, or , at least, current and voltage of the stator, must be, at the same order. . .
.
Me: Correct.
.
John: That mean, the current of the stator can't be lagged behind the voltage of the stator. . Therefore, we add a justify capacitor on the wire of W.
.
Me: Correct.  .
.
John: After we add a justify capacitor on the wire of W, the current of the stator lead the voltage of the stator, or, at least, the voltage and current of stator are at the same order. .
.
Me: The voltage of the stator no more lead the current of the stator. . Consequently, the speed of the rotor increase.
